CHOICE DEFINES LIFE

CHOICE DEFINES LIFE

Life has many definition which is factored by perspectives. An astronaut may define life as an empty space given to man to do whatever he likes. An athlete may say life is a race that must be covered within a specified duration of time. A Biochemist may then define life as a series of reactions that requires human input for continuity.

What is common to all perspective is the fact that there is an assignment for man, either as a race to run, Journey to complete, battle to fight or script of drama to act. This task is then given to every man with a power. This power is called CHOICE. Choice is the voice we give to our definition of life.

Before birth, humans are not given a choice on what sex they would like to be born, neither do they have it in disposition the nationality to be born, nor the parents that would vehicle them into life. Though, man came into existence outside his choice, but every other thing that happens to him in the course of his sojourn is a product of his choice.

The power in a choice is that it has abilities to make you into your opinion about yourself. The beauty of a painting lies in the choices of colours an artist employ. Likewise the beauty of your life, and of your future lies in the choices you use to paint the canvas. Life is a canvas, its beauty is in the combination of colours you choose to beautify it.

An old man pushing a cart of used materials did not just wake to meet himself on the road. He must have spent his golden youthfulness choosing and living a reckless life. The woman with five children born to five different men did not get pregnant out of mistakes. She must have spent the period of her youth sleeping around with guys.

The degree at which choice influences life cannot be overemphasized. Though, many believe in fate, yet, no one can doubt the desire of good things. Who you are today is a function of who you have been, and who you will become is a function of who you choose to be now.

Choice is a paddle that directs the sail of the boat of a man's life on the sea of life. The course of the sea may be regarded as fate; the direction we move whether against the tide or along is a product of CHOICE. You are the result of your choice. Choose your colours well from the palette of your heart. That future you picture can only feature if you choose wisely.

My Affidavit Palava

 My Affidavit Palava,

I just tire, All these wahala, untop one jagajaga affidavit, mtcheew, If I tell you what I went through to get my affidavit at Ikorodu today you’ll pity me.

At around 10:20am I left my house around Ijede to get My affidavit even though I wasn’t totally sure of where I was going, but I asked for directions for a while and I was able to get the description. From Ikorodu garage I took bike to Itaelewa(100), dropped at the Candide Johnson Courthouse(Combined high and Magistrate Court) there.

Before I could even totally come down from Okada I was already hearing “broda is it affidavit” all around me, One of them walked up to me and I explained everything to him and showed him the format. We haggled on price till he finally agreed to do it for N800. In a few minutes the affidavit was ready. I took Keke napep back to Ikorodu Garage (N50).

Now this is where the original wahala started, when I got to the park, the front seats were occupied, I just jejely found my way to the back seat where one man was already seated lapping his two children, few seconds later two secondary school students also came inside with the intention of lapping their selves at that same back seat, and Just as I was thinking it couldn’t get any worse, One fat market woman came in with a sack of vegetables and was heading for the back seat, this is when I knew I was in soup, the woman after some seconds of adjusting and re-adjusting finally squeezed herself into the small space remaining on the chair thereby compressing me like a compressed Zip file. I found a way to bring out my phone from my pocket and checked the battery  percentage, 7% ahhh, make this phone no die o, it was my only companion in this hard world at that moment, It was the only thing that could successfully distract me from the compression process I was going through. Somehow I managed to survive the compression without Breaking any bone..  No words could express the joy I felt immediately I got to my bus stop and was able to finally stretch my now jammed bones.

For those of you that do not understand what that kind of scenario I pray you fall into that kind of situation one day, as I would love to read your own story too.

How to get your affidavit at Ikeja

Getting an Affidavit in Ikeja Lagos.

We posted details earlier for those who intend to get their affidavit at Abeokuta. But for those who stay and intend to get theirs at Lagos, Ikeja high court precisely, here is how.

If you intend to get your affidavit at Ikeja I’d advise you type your affidavit from Home and sign where needed(declarant), attach your passport and then walk into  the court and join the queue, then pay #250 after the stamp collect your receipt then you are free to leave. Please do not be coaxed to do it on the road as it might cost you more. Finally you might want to get there early as they close around 3pm.

We wish you all a happy resumption.

My Ordeal getting an Affidavit in Abeokuta

Since the school authority has finally concluded that all students must resume with an affidavit, and being law abiding citizen that I am I finally decided and was able to get mine on Monday (26/09/2016) here in Abeokuta.

Here's a little walkthrough for those who intend to get theirs at Abeokuta also should cost you a total of roughly #850-#1200.
From Camp get a cab to Isabo #150-#200, once you alight from the cab walk up to any typist there beside the court. Typing of affidavit ranges from #300-#500 depending on your haggling skills, the stamping itself should take about #200-#400. Note that the earlier the better.
Also I would like to add that it’s not every day the Judges are on duty and they close by 2pm, sometimes you may be asked to come back, and according to my small experience the Judges only accept affidavit typed with typewriter, not a computer Printout.

Little Summary:
Camp to Isabo = #150-#200
Typing of affidavit = #300-#500
Stamping = #200-#400
Isabo to Camp = #150-#200
Total = #850-#1200
Note that this is solely based on my experience.

Compiled from the experience of #Diekolola Farms.
Attached to this is a sample of the affidavit.

We wish you all a happy resumption.
